AECTEA Association - Free Volunteer Opportunities in Brazil

We are seeking volunteers who can give continuity to our English courses and help in the daily functioning of our learning center and international volunteer household. We charge NO FEES. Our semesters run from February to June and from July to December. We offer affordable language classes of small groups, as well as individual tutoring for language teachers.

AEC-TEA offers an open invitation to interested Brazilian and international volunteers who would like to do participate in our projects while helping out with the daily functioning of our association and volunteer household. We give preference to those who can commit for three months or longer. Please see our projects for more information.

AEC-TEA invites social workers to learn about social services in our community. In addition to participating in projects in our center, they have the opportunity to observe and assist in programs which serve economically disadvantaged, mentally ill, developmentally delayed, and physically disabled populations. An intermediate level of Portuguese will allow volunteers to more quickly integrate in their work.
